New Heights received a score of 103.8 out of 100 on our 2008-09 Department of Education Progress report, ranking us 15^th out of 1,058 elementary and middle schools—in the top 1% of schools!  Click here to view the full report.

Important Dates

June 2^nd – 14^th – Textbook collection; report cards will be held if students owe books or money

June 4^th – Progress  Reports distributed; parents must sign and return the Progress Report

June 9^th – Parent Workshop, topic to be announced

June 10^th – No School

June 14^th – Last day of High School Classes

June 15^th – 23^rd – Regents Exams

June 16^th – Sports Awards Ceremony (by invitation only)

June 17^th – Board of Trustees Meeting

June 21^st – Honor Roll Trip

June 22^nd – Middle School Awards Ceremony (by invitation only)

June 23^rd – High School Awards Ceremony    (by invitation only)

June 24^th – Early Dismissal (11:45am)

June 24^th – Graduation (by invitation only)

June 25^th – Last day for all students; 5^th – 11^th graders attend school from 8:30 – 10:30am

July 5^th – First day of summer school              

July 30^th – Last day of summer school

September 8^th – First day of school for the 2010 – 2011 school year
